Works For Me Wednesday – Solving Ball Uniform Chaos
I don’t know about you, but during baseball season one of our worse issues is finding all the pieces of our ball uniforms after the three boys have come home, stripped down, and thrown hats, socks, belts, etc. to the four winds.
We have solved this somewhat simply. I have a small laundry basket I keep on top of the washing machine. The ball uniforms MUST be put in that basket as soon as they are taken off. If they are not and I have to search for any piece of the uniform, the offender has to carry his sister’s pink glove into the dugout the next game. I do believe they would rather stay home than touch anything pink while their friends are watching. So far, so good!
Hope this helps solve your uniform chaos – It Works For Me!

Oh, oh, oh…we have no pink glove. Alas they aren’t real leather and hubby says the princess must have REAL leather. However, I MUST find a suitable alternative. You have NO IDEA the amount of screaming–I mean encouragement I have to give my kids to find all their pieces parts when it’s time to leave for practices or games!
That is so funny! I love it. If this becomes a problem a few years down the road, I shall think back on this tip. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, this just cracks me up! Snuggle Bug’s too little yet for baseball but I know he’s going to be involved in this sport in due time. I’ll have to make up a similar rule when the time comes! :)
Thanks for the chuckle!
How funny! I don’t have children but I’ll have to pass along the idea to my friends who do.
Thanks for the giggle. (o:
We are already having problems keeping things straight. Thanks for the “unconventional” tactic. I’ll have to keep it in mind.

I love this! We have all girls, so I’ll have to think of an equally horrible consequence. Cute, cute, cute!
That is too funny! Great idea! :)
Oh, that is priceless!
That is too funny! I’m sure you will have no further problems getting all the uniform pieces together!
And here I thought we were the only disfunctional family! I have no pink glove. Although, I have refused to wash, if all items are not in the proper container. Thing about that is, boys don’t care!!! Mom reminds me daily of how I will look back on these days and smile!!
That is too funny, I can totally relate. I have two boys who play baseball year round. I have a laundry “center” in a little nook at the top of the stairs with a basket for all sports uniforms. I put them there after they are washed. The boys know to go and put their dirty uniforms on top of the washer if they want them washed. I have made them wear them dirty and they really didn’t enjoy the bad looks from the other kids.
Haha – you so rock :) – I would have to agree with you that a pink glove would not be fashionable for your boys. Great thought you had there.
Blessings to you and yours.
That is too funny! What a clever idea!
