Otherly love….
We have three boys. (Yes, I know. Condolences appreciated) One and Two are very close and have a love/hate relationship with number Three. One and Two were in the bedroom bouncing off the walls while the Preacher and I were trying to have five minutes to catch up at the end of the day.
Preacher: “Guys! Go out for just a minute so your mom and I can
talk! The next boy I see in my room is getting a whippin’!”One and Two (from the hallway – all sweet and suspicious): “Hey Number Threeeee! Why don’t you go see Dad in his room??”
Can’t you just feel the love..??
Were you at my house?? Seriously you were AT MY HOUSE!! My boys are soooooooooo like that.
Sorry no condolences, we are in the same boat baby. =)
You tell #1 and #2 they have me to deal with for trying to get my precious #3 in trouble. Good thing you heard the conversation. It is good to know that me and cp are not the only ones that never get to talk.
This is so so funny.
I was an only child and this is why I would love for my son to have siblings someday.
I just love it! So cute.
Ah – that brings back memories for me…….always trying to get the other in trouble…….what good brothers and sisters we were.
Have hope though – surely they will grow out of it.
We did. =)
Oh, what sweet boys…
:)
Okay, can I just tell you there IS something about birth order?
He’s gonna have middle child syndrome!
That’s coming from someone who knows ALL ABOUT IT!!!!
Hang on, while I look up a therapist in the phone book–I still have issues! ;-)
Definitely sounds like an evening at my house! (I think my “P.I.T” -preacher-in-training) has uttered those exact words before!! Ha ha!!!
Aren’t our children just PRECIOUS??
Sounds so right! My husband and his sister had a wonderful relationship while he was growing up and he just can not understand why our children fight . . . I keep trying to tell him it is normal . . . you and your sister where not normal!!! LOL Too funny, thanks for sharing, I needed the laugh!
Look at what I missed out on being an only child.
I think I was mean though and practiced on my cousins. ;o)
Boy, I don’t know how I ever made it through life without siblings!
Gratefully, I can practice this type of love on my own kids. And…of course I get to witness it between them. :) Cute story!
Again, thanks so much for making me feel like I am the only one with children like that.
They can just be so ornery at times.
Also, I am sure you would have looked just beautiful in that big old bathing suit. Go ahead and get it!!!! My 11 year old is the same way. Maybe your sweet daughter will grow out of her “big mouth”.
Blessings,
Julie
This is hysterical and pitiful! I say go get the bathing suit girl! lol!
I enjoy your comments off of Amanda’s and LPM. And I’ll share those ‘shoes’ with you when Amanda finds her another new bff ;)
Thank you for putting your gifts of writing into use…I am enjoying the blessing of it!
Hey There!
I have two boys and can so understand this! We always have to tell our 5 year old to stop interrupting when my husband and I are catching up on the day.
Cute story!
God Bless~
