My new BFF
Okay, I said I was putting the Egypt stuff to rest for a while, but I lied.
I would love to tell you she said, “Oh, wow, Lisa. Even though I have a Ph.D., I do believe your ideas are brilliant and can I cite you on that? And by the way, wanna go shopping?” Alas, this was not the case. I got the standard, ‘there is no evidence for Moses being Hatshepsut’s adopted son or that Senenmut is Moses….” What was cool is that she did NOT call me an idiot or ignore me. I feel so validated. I totally think we are going to be great friends.
Also, she referred me to a website, GlyphDoctors, which has some interesting discussion boards. I looked at them for a bit, but I can quickly become engrossed and I just don’t have the time right now…. Just wanted to give you the link in case any of you other nerd girls wanted to take a look!
Well I had really better go so I can call Kara.
Cause we are all chummy like that…
WOW! You are almost like….famous now.
I am so impressed.
I am sure she was totally blown away by your knowledge of the subject and was just to embarassed to admit it. I know I totally was, and NO I am not kidding.
Have fun shopping with your new BFF.
I am so sad, I really wanted that title. lol.
That’s cool that she emailed you!!
LOL!!! See! It never hurts to ask or try!!! God might just want to crack you up and have the woman email you back! I LOVE it!
I wish I could’ve seen your face when you got the email. I’m just glad you and I are friends before you get sent off into famous people land…b/c I have your blog signature beforehand :)
Did I ever tell you that I once got an email from Wynonna? Okay, so it was signed “Wy Staff”, but I am SURE it was from her and she was just “undercover”! LOL!
And yes, you are definitely a nerd! But when I was in school, the nerds were my friends, so I guess it’s okay…just don’t ask me any questions above the 5th grade level, ’cause while I’m probably still considered a nerd by many, (and by many, I mean my kids and my sisters’ kids) my intellectual prowess has been reduced to whatever grade level I happen to be teaching to my kids at the time! We haven’t started our new school year yet, so I’m still in Kinder, 3rd, and 5th grades at this point!
LOL!!!!
NO WAY that she emailed you — that’s stinkin’ hysterical…
i LOVE it!
you keep chasing after the things of the Lord – i love hearing what you find.
:)
I’m glad you are researching this because I love to hear about it, but have no time to dig.
You just crack me up!
That is so totally awesome that you emailed her and she emailed back! Whether she validated your opinion and thoughts or not, I have to say your perspective could easily be quite accurate!
“become quickly engrossed”– that’s me too! We watch all the ancient Egypt stuff. :)
