Thankful Thursday
Today, my friends, all I can say is that I am thankful for Life. I’m thankful for Hope. I’m thankful for Peace that passes more than I can understand. I ask you to continue praying for my friends who lost their only son this week in a car accident.
And I remain ever grateful for you. You have no idea how much encouragement Eric’s family has drawn from your prayers and kind comments. They’ve been printed and taken to the family. It means the world for them to have tangible evidence of prayer on their behalf.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Dear Lisa,
First I’m so sorry about your friend’s loss. I don’t think there is any greater loss then to bury your child.
I’m friends with many moms who have lost their children to cancer, it’s just so hard…
If you don’t mind, I’d like to recommend a book for you to read, and give out to those who have lost love ones or just going through a hard time.
The book is called “One Year Book of Hope” by Nancy Guthrie. It’s great. (She lost 2 children, and shares so many wonderful daily words for that first year).
Blessings to you this TT!
Susan
They are in our prayers—along with you as your family ministers to their needs. May the Lord surround them with His love and peace…that surpasses all understanding of our finite minds….God bless you Lisa.
Our continued prayers with this family. May you also be comforted through this difficult time. I know this family is blessed to have you minister to them in their time of loss.
Praying for this dear family, bless them Lord.
Lisa,
prayers remain in my heart for them…and for you and your husband, for renewed strength to minister to people at times like this is draining and only possible with the power of God…
peace,
lori
Sorry about your friend’s son.. I hope for healing for their family.
Thanks for sharing.
They have been so much in my heart and prayers this Christmas season. I found myself driving just crying for that Mother. I am praying for them, this is going to be one hard Christmas. I doubt the excitment of Christmas will ever feel the same.
Many prayers.
You have a wonderful thankful post. You and Bro Luke have been so good for Gaye. Thank you both for your time and prayers for that family. They really needed you and you were there. God Bless you always!
Weep with those who weep. Rejoice with those who rejoice.
Above all else love each other deeply.
Praying for the parents who lost their only son. May God comfort them as only He knows how…
Blessings on you and your family.
I am so sorry to read about this precious family’s loss. It hits so close to home as a mom of a 20 year old. Prayers not only for this family but for your church family as well.
I pray for your peace as you carry your friends burden. May you be filled with hope.
I’ve been praying for this family daily, as they come to mind.
How are you and your husband doing as you minister to them? I’m sure it is very hard!!!
I’m so sorry they lost their son. I will be praying. You are right, life is very special and something we should each take the time to thank God for. Happy TT! God bless you…
Lisa,
I know this has been a tough week for you. I want you to know, however, that your strength during this time has been such a strong witness for me. . . . you’ve helped me with my own faith during a dark time. And yes, I’m still praying for your friends and your church community.
Much love,
~Cheryl
