My Summer ‘Do and a Gift For You
Spring is in the air, the kids are out of school, and I’m in the mood for something new – hence my new Summer Blog ‘Do!
I hope you’ll take a look around using the handy, dandy navigation bar under the header. I’ve added a section called ‘Surveys’ so all you ministry wives can easily find the great information we’ve accumulated where being married to a pastor is concerned. I’ll be adding new features over the next couple of weeks so keep checking back.
I’d also love any suggestions from you that would make the site more user-friendly. Click around and tell me what you think!
And, as a reward for doing so, I’m going to host a little giveaway. Simply leave a word or two of feedback about the new design between now and Monday at 1 p.m. CST in the comments to be entered for a copy of Life Savors. This is a compilation devotional in which both Linda Crow at 2nd Cup and I have stories published. It really is a great little book packed with big inspiration.
I want to give a big ‘ole thanks to Amy at Split Decisionz for my re-do. She is wonderful to work with, has the patience of a saint, and gave me more than I asked for. Go give her a visit if you are tired of looking at your old design!
Ummm…could you be any more precious! It looks fabulous. I love it!

I love the new design! Looks so cheerful!
oh.my.land. I love it! The header is fabulous, and I really like being able to see some of the blog content when it loads. I’m gonna go run around now!
Lookin pretty sweet there Missy!
Love it – can’t wait for the spring weather to hit. Days before summer vacation and I am still sending my girl to the bus in a heavy jacket. Not right, I tell ya!
LOVE the new look. Amy rocks – someday I will have to hit her up for one of my own (saving my pennies for that one!).
It looks so good!
I’ve gotta get me one of them makeover thingys soon!!!!!
what a cute new design! love it. not sure I can add anything constructive to change though … it’s cute!
I absolutely love the new look. I have learned so much from having re-designed twice. My favorite part of this look is the wonderful, wonderful toolbar and clean, crisp look. Also, there was one pic of Larry King that was even worse; he looked just like ET, but I didn’t post that because there is a thread of compassion in me for people who take bad pics (ahem).
I love your new ‘do – very cheerful and fun! I know we would be fast friends if we ever meet – you have a warped sense of humor much like my own! I really enjoy your blog.
Love it! Cheery, fun, and easier to navigate!
Very Cute! Love the cheerful, summer look!
Hello, this bloggy makeover is just as cute as you are!!! I love it. Everything is laid out perfectly and easy to navigate around. Good job Amy!
Have a great weekend!
Love Ya,
Patty
OH, I almost forgot…..You have U.T. orange in your new look. Especially in the blog title. heehee I feel like a little of me is in here. LOL!!
Great new look! Very refreshing!
Love the new look…so bright and cherry.
Oooo. So pretty! I’m still on the waiting list for Jules. Hopefully soon…..
I love the new design! It looks so “springy” I almost want to plant something…….almost!
I love the new digs! Great! It is really easy to navigate. And I love the bright colors!
I gave a copy of the book to all my moms for Mother’s Day…but I didn’t get myself one!
It looks fantastic! Very spring-y! :) Doesn’t look like you need to change a thing…very user-friendly the way it is.
Have a lovely weekend!

I really like the new look. Puts me in the mood for summer!
Love the new look. finally I can read the comments! *S*
I love the new look and it’s really easy to navigate! It’s great!
Michelle
I think this is fantastic. I love the tabs on top! Now are you really computer savvy, or are there templates for this sort of thing? It’s bright and fun. Great job.
Lisa, it looks GREAT! So fun and fresh! And the comments are SO much easier to read now. Love it!
I’d love to win the book with my famous friends’ writing in there!
i love the new look.
it may be because i’m on a mac, using firefox, but the text is very narrow. on my screen, the column of text is only about five words wide, with the buttons to the left, and then a big empty white column to the left of that. big green margins on the far sides.
it doesn’t look bad exactly, but it’s a little hard to read in such a narrow column, and it seems like you’ve got some room to widen it out.
hey girl,
have you done any surveying about pastors’ schedules? i’m curious to know what other families do to protect family time, how many nights their husbands are out of the house, how much they travel, etc.
Gorgeous, dahlink. Seriously cheerful and upbeat and real. Just like the author.
Your new ‘do is adorable, fresh and funky! Amy did two of my blogs so far and is working on 2 more as we speak! She rocks :)
LOVE IT!! It’s so fun and fits your personality!!
It’s fun, cute and a bit quirky — I love it! I’m heading over to Split Decisionz now to see about getting mine revamped!
Sorry, if I missed an email from you — I’m just coming out from under wedding fog and now I’m in book deadline fog — soon, we’ll connect!
Mary
Love the new “Do”
Love the new look girl! It’s great!!
Your site is great, very easy to navigate!
I love the new look. It is so bright and cheery. Perfect for summer. I liked your former look, but this one is fantastic. I cannot think of anything you should add, except that your profile section is hard for me to read, and perhaps you could add some quick links about you… I have them on my site and I think Big Mama has them too, nice for background. But the look is fabulous, but as long as your keep your wonderful content, I’ll be back even if your site was just black and white.
Hi
I came across your site via Split Decicionz. The layout looks great. I am also a Pastor’s wife so I will definitely be back to browse around and read some of the interesting topics I’ve seen. Have a blessed weekend.
Jenn
I’m not very good at giving advice on blog design, because I think so many look so cool! I have no creative juices in me! BTW I saw this book in a book store near me a few weeks ago! I got very geeked that I “kind of” know two of the ladies that are published in it! Your FAMOUS!
I think it so cute. At first glance, I thought that was a pregnant woman silohette on the speaking schedule pasge. I thought “oooh is she expecting?” then I had to really look and see it. May be my screen. Other than that, its too cute.
LOve it!
LOve it!
The new look is wonderful Lisa! Its so easy to navigate. =) My only little issue is that I’m having a hard time reading the orange on the blue… but it may be me. I have color issues
Oh, and can I just say that I am completely jealous that school is already out for you! I have two and a half weeks left of work. (I hope I survive it!)
I love it! You may have inspired me to try something new out!
Our students have 2 days left of school and then we have two workdays! Woohoo! Can’t wait!!
the new look is great. I have been surfing split decisionz for awhile contemplating a new look but just haven’t taken the plunge yet. she does great work and your new look is very spring looking and easy to move around. I like the tabs on top. -Blessings, Laurie
WOW!!! Looks great!! So nice and Springy!!! It makes you think of flowers blooming and bright green grass!!
I love the colors. The green, blue and white go really well together. Brings on the summer cheer!
Very summer-y, very cute! Love it :D
I love the look of your new blog. I jumped over from Split Decisionz… and I am glad that I did.
I also loved your thoughts on the tragic death in the Chapman family. So true.
Lynn
OMG I love it!
I love the “Today’s Word” widget!
SD does excellent work, and I’m a big fan of Amy! I think the new look is quite refreshing!
I love your header and your tabs. There is always so much to look at along the margins. The only suggestion I would make is to give more room to the main entries. It is a long narrow format.
I really appreciate your blog and have learned a lot. Thank you for sharing. Blessings! Linda
Your make-over is super!
So very user-friendly!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the
tabs at the top of the blog….
that is just the best
and I’d give anything to know
how to do that…
so, when we have a job,
Lord willing,
I’ll have to get your
blog makeover queen
to do one for me…
One comment though…
you have to scroll down the page
in order to read your posts and
to make comments…
if you don’t know what I mean
ask Sophie cause she had the
same problem with hers and
finally got them to fix it
I think…I may be wrong on that.
It causes people to miss the script.
Absolutely love the
organization of this!
I told Patty, I thought
she needed to do something
like it for their duo blog for SF.
So easy to navigate. LOVE IT!
