Welcome to a Building….
….that I wouldn’t dare step foot in for all the billions in Dubai.
Don’t have much time to talk today. I am horrifically behind on the writng but I read this article on Fox News this morning and just had to show you. Is it just my own issues with heights or do the thoughts of occupying a squiggly, rotating skyscraper give you the shudders that just won’t go away?
I wouldn’t want to go in a building that moved. I even think they’re sort of an eyesore, if you ask me.
And I must say, this is the first I’ve been to your blog since you changed your design. I love the colors. They really pop. I love what you’ve done with your header and everything. Definitely stands out from other blogs. Very cool!
Makes me woozy just looking at the picture! And did you get this part?:
“Fisher acknowledges that he is not well known, has never built a skyscraper before and hasn’t practiced architecture regularly in decades.”
Can you say danger Davey?! Yikes!
Ummm…can you say STUPID???
No thanks! :)
I feel a sudden attach of motion sickness coming on.
Opps, I meant attack
Not no but HECK NO!!!
That would be like me trying to build a rocket. Seriously! He acknowledges how ill-equipped he is? YIKES! Who in the world was brave enough to buy into this idea?!
I’ve seen that before and it makes me weak-kneed.
Kinda like that glass skywalk that juts out over the Grand Canyon.
Ok, I realize I’m in the minority here…but I love heights, and I think the idea is cool…but not sure if I’d be brave enough to hang out in a building like that for any length of time.
They are building some strange things over there in Dubai.
Praying for you and your writing!
Just the thought of it makes my stomach heave. Not in a million years would I ever set foot in a building like that. I don’t even like moving sidewalks and escalators! Buildings should be STATIONARY.
That is just wrong!
I love rides the faster the better, swing me around up and down, but I want any building I go into has to be straight and in moble…
Your in my prayers…
Connie
GBU
That makes me sick just looking at it. No thank you. They can have it. Praying your writing goes smoothly and that you meet your deadlines!!
Love You,
Patty
I’m adventurous, but nooo thanks. Yikes!
I am a ground level chick myself!
Yeah. That’s got me feeling oogie. And I laughed and snorted at this quote in the article:
“Fisher acknowledges that he is not well known, has never built a skyscraper before and hasn’t practiced architecture regularly in decades.”
And the smallest place in there is $4mil.
Ok, I guess it’s just me and Jackie in the minority, but I think it’s cool and I would love to check it out. Being that I live in the region, maybe I will get to if it gets built before we move back to the States.
However I do wonder at the guy who’s doing it. I mean, he seems pretty ill-equipped. But there are people (like my husband!!!) who make sure that buildings stand up. The architect just does the design.
I’m hoping to visit Dubai sometime soon and check out all the cool things they have there. We have a pair of zig-zag buildings here that make my eyes hurt to look at them, but it’s neat to see such daring designs.
Yikes!
*smile*
I’m just thrilled that I’m not the only one reading articles from FOX News in my spare time!! :)
Hugs,
Sue
I’m with the minority here. I’d check it out, absolutely!
Count me out! No thank you very much!
JUST saw this somewhere else.
no way i’d step foot in that building.
why?
tower of piza. looked great on paper, but didn’t quite hold up.
I couldn’t agree with you more. That looks terrifying!!!!
I saw this on Fox News last night too. I’m with you – there’s no way I could live in a building that’s constantly in motion. They said you could even park your car inside your apartment. Can you imagine trying to decorate around that?!!
I think the idea of the building is pretty neat but I picked up on the same thing Jenny did. Pretty big undertaking for someone with no more experience than he seems to have!
