Guess What?
I FINISHED THE BOOK! I FINISHED THE BOOK! I FINISHED THE BOOK!
Okay, so I still have a few edits to take care of and I’m sure my word count is over but all of the chapters and appendixes are officially complete.
I had one more little brainstorm at the end and would be so eternally grateful if you PW’s would help me with one last thing. I’m inviting the readers to come join us in blogland and I would love one sentence from you girls that would tell how blogging has encouraged you in ministry.
Oh yeah, did I mention….

Oh….were we suppose to leave that one sentence here as well??? if so, then here is mine…..
In the past year an a half, blogging with other minister’s wives has given me a support system like I have NEVER had before and it has provided me a much needed “out”.
Okay….it was EXTREMELY difficult to put it all in to ONE sentence…and to be honest my grammar is so weak that it might actually be a run on!
:) Angela Pridgen

Congratulations!!!
Blogging is an awesome encouragement in ministry as it is an effective way for you to reach many ladies, even from your tiny little town, and to connect with women all over the world who share a passion and a faith and seem to speak straight into your life with what they share.
CONGRATS!!! So exciting! :)
I think I’ve put a sentence in my blog somewhere that might work; I’ll see if I can dig it up. That would probably be less work than actually THINKING and putting thoughts into words. :)
Oh Lisa I’m so excited for you. Girl I can not WAIT to see that baby in print!!!!! Congratulations!!!
That is so HUGE!! SO proud of you, sweet Lisa! You and your Jesus did it together. CANNOT wait to hug your neck. 4 DAYS!!!!

My deepest Congratulations to you! I know the Lord will use it to uplift and bless all He calls to stand by our men in ministry!
When we were on paid church staff, there was no such thing as blogging. But I dreamed of something like this for a long time – a way to connect with other minister’s wives – to “let our hair down”, talk about struggles, and be encouraged – without our church family watching. I longed for a way to make with friends in the ministry without having to travel for a visit (or talk “long distance” – that was when cell phones were only for emergencies!)
God has definitely provided a connection of encouragement and support through blogging that has crossed all barriers of time, location, and money. Now the lone minister’s wife serving in a place with few or no other churches around can feel part of a community – and know she is not alone.
May God bless the editing / publishing process of your book, and use it in a mighty way!
Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations! What an accomplishment!
One sentence about blogging?
Blogging is sisterhood, connection, updating, encouragement and minstry all rolled into one.
Love you Lisa. Have a great time in SA!
We are all so proud of you! Congrats!
Love ya,
LB & gang
You go girl…whoot, whoot, whoot
YAY!!!
Congratulations! I can start participating in your surveys/polls now that I’m officially a co-pastor! :)
Congratulations on finishing your book!
Regarding how blogging has encouraged me in ministry:
In REAL LIFE, I only know a few other pastor’s wives. In blogland, I know at least a dozen. How encouraging it is for me to know that other women go through the same kinds of things with their husbands. How encouraging to know that others are like me, and share the same feelings.
Blogging is a release for me, and a support for me. I can be the real ME when I am blogging (since all the names on my blog have been changed).
Congratulations, Lisa!!!
I’m so proud of you and I can’t wait to meet you soon!
Love,
Angie xoxo
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! I’m not even halfway done with my book (which isn’t ministry-related) and still chugging away at it!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats!! Can’t wait to hear what good things it will bring about!!
Kim
Congrats, girl. I’ll be waiting for my signed copy :)
Bloggong has allowed me to meet friends that I would have otherwise had to wait until heaven to meet.
It also affords me the opportunity to network with other preacher’s wives for the support and encouragement we all so desperately need.
I am so very happy for you – what an accomplishment! You must have been burning some midnight oil on this one! I look forward to seeing it in print – what is the release date?
Congrats on a job well accomplished!
Congrats!
My one sentence on how blogging has helped me…
I am not alone!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy for you. Maybe this will mean I will see more of you at the ballfield now. Lol. Have a great, fun, and safe trip.
Tammy
YEA!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations.
Life has been extremely busy here – so I am slow on responding to the last two surveys – maybe it is not toooooo late :)
Blessings to you!
oh – survey –
How blogging has encouraged me in ministry…
First of all, it has connected me with more of the women in my church. Better than emails – it lets me be transparent for them and lets them connect with our (the preacher’s family’s) personal life. It also lets me encourage them in their walk with the Lord by sharing what I am learning and/or struggling with. I really do want to be transparent and encouragement and REAL. We are all on this journey to become more like Christ – and blogging gives me an opportunity to share some of my journey.
Also, blogging encourages me in ministy – by connecting me with other Christian women, other wives in ministry, other moms that I may have never had the opportunity to know if I had never ventured into this “world”.
This is how you know I’ve been busy: I didn’t get to comment on this post when I first read it.
But you’d better believe I let out a huge HALLELUJAH when these words hit my heart. (It was internal, due to nursing baby. But God heard the volume that was directed heavenward.)
I agree — watch out, San Antonio. There will be partying.
