I’m Back From the Fiesta
Hi Girls! I have massive amounts of pictures for you in a bit but I couldn’t resist sharing just one until I get the rest of my posts ready…
From this day forward, I will never ask ‘What’s Up?’ again without thinking, “Joanne, that’s what’s up”.
The look on my face was in response to a little teasing I was getting about my being vertically challenged. To make me feel a little better, Joanne ministered to my shortness. It was just one of the many ways she blessed me this weekend. I love you, Joanne, and you are even ten times more wonderful than I imagined!
Okay, I’ll be back in a bit!
I miss you Lisa!!! Was it a big ole dream that was full of some serious belly laughter??? No ma’am….it was the real deal! :)
Loved every bit of it and maybe we can plan a mini-fiesta somehow, somewhere…Hmmmmmmm.
I’ll see ya later. Did you know you have your own door???!! Oh, I crack myself up.
It was just too much fun seeing all those siesta’s. And you are one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
I LOVE YOU TOO!
And I’ll never say ya’ll again (which I do say often despite not having an accent) without thinking of you!
Joanne
So glad you had so much fun:) Did she announce that there will be another Siesta Fiesta?:) I hope so!!
What fun to pop in and see Joanne! She is tall… I definitely look up to her. ;)
Can’t wait to hear more about the Fiesta!!!
Lisa, you are so precious! I wish we could have sat down and talked for a while. Basically, for me the Siesta Fiesta was really fun but it was such a tease because I was left wanting WAY more time with all of y’all! Thanks for being there and I look forward to one day getting to really visit with you.
Love,
Amanda
Just HOW tall is Joanne, and HOW short are you? What a funny picture!
Wishing I’d been there. *SIGH*
Lisa, you are SO much fun and I am so thankful that I got to hug your neck! That was a very special moment for me! What an incredible weekend!
Blessings
Michelle
Lisa,
Whether you’re vertically challenged or not, you have a huge heart. We met briefly, but I watched you with others and you are on fire for God! This was truly a wonderful “Lone Star” weekend.
It was great putting a name to a face and an “accent”!! Love those “y’all”s–it warms my heart!
Blessings!
Bobbie
I just can’t believe that with four kids you don’t have time to post all your pics right now. LOL!!!!!
ps why can’t I get on Joanne’s blog??
Lisa: Hey! I just wanted to say I can’t wait for your book. I am also a pastor’s wife and have been married to him AND the ministry for 30 years now (married at 20, so yes, I am in my Jubilee year and I love being 50!)
It was so great to be at the Siesta Fiesta, wasn’t it? I am new at blogging, but not new at reading the LPL Blog.
How may we order the book? Take care, and God’s blessings to you! Congratulations on the book –
Georgia Jan
Romans 15:13
I can’t wait to see your pictures! I am trying to get mine organized and posted, but am strangely unmotivated.
I guess this means that you made it out to the front of the hotel by 5am…bless you heart! Linda and I both thought about you first thing in the morning…

Lisa – ahh, looks like you had a blast! I was praying for y’all! I know the Lord was doing some serious blessing this weekend.
So glad you’re back and thrilled that you had a good time! I know your hubs and kids missed you terribly though. I think Boy #1 summed it up best when I asked him if he was missing you. He said, ” Yes, all we’ve eaten are Ramen noodles and cupcakes for every meal.”
Poor babies! LOL
You are so cute! :)
I was sad I couldn’t go to the Siesta Fiesta, but I am loving the pics and stories on everyone’s blogs!
I had to stop by, I came by way of Marina! It sounds like you all had so much fun! When do you start planning the next escape INTO Reality ha ha!???
Chel
Hi Lisa! We met briefly in San Antonio. I was hoping to hang out with you a little bit because you seem so fun…but that just didn’t seem to be in the plan. I will stop by more often now though!
hEY lISA! i SO ENJOYED MEETING YOU THIS WEEKEND:) yOU ARE SO SWEET AND i LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW YOU MORE THROUGH THE BLOG WORLD, UNTIL WE ALL GET TOGETHER AGAIN, HOPEFULLY!
You are too cute for words! I had no idea you were so tiny. =)
Just go look at our pictures together every time you feel short, then.
We can be vertically challenged together, k?
I just love you girlfriend and I was so glad to get to meet you this weekend!
Well I’m not sure I’ve caught up on my lack of sleep…especially now that I’ve begun to snore. I guess I’ll have to get one of those breathing machines to wear at night when I sleep….won’t that be attractive for Jamie? LOL
Hi Lisa,
I don’t know you so I’ll introduce myself…I am Bethany, a fellow siesta…your blog is the first one that I chose to check out off of the siesta fiesta blog. I must say that I am so happy that you girls had such a fun time of fellowship and good ole girl bonding!
I hope to attend next year if there is another one!
Lisa,
Thank you for all the joy you spread this weekend. I especially liked your recap on Beths message…how our life experiences sometime push us up into greater intimacy with God….ooh don’t you know it!
Blessings and Hugs,
Touchy Feely Girl
Hello Lisa
I don’t think we actually talked but I am a preacher’s wife as well. My husband is a missions pastor at a Baptist church in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The pj party was a blast!
Are you gong to the minister’s wives conference in Nashville in 2009? I am already making plans.
Hope we can talk sometime. We preachers wives need all the support we can get.
Much love!
Kristi B.
Girl, how tall are you??? ‘Cause that picture made me laugh. Joanne is much taller than me too, so I’m thinking you could hang with me!
CONGRATS on finishing your book. That is an awesome feeling, huh???
