Where’s Solomon When You Need Him?
Wise King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 3:1:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.”
So someone pray tell me why I am having a yard sale on the coldest day of the year? Someone tell me why I chose yesterday to attempt to cut by my perennials? Truly, could either of these things have been done when I didn’t have to wear three layers of clothing?
And did I mention I am NOT a snowbaby? I hate being cold worse than any other thing in life.
I have plenty more to say about this, but I think I just saw a car pull up.
They better buy lots of my junk.
Oh I hear ya. I’m already tired of winter and winter isn’t really here yet.
I hope your garage sale is worth it and you have plenty of hot cocoa for yourself!
I hope you are very profitable today. It could be a huge success, as garage sale season is over by now, and there are many people with garage sale addiction who need a ‘fix’!
Keep warm, but don’t dress so bulky you can’t move!
Blessings,
Michelle
I hate being cold, too!! It must have been warm on the day you decided to have the sale :) Good luck!
Oh my!!!
It is very cold where we are also.
And we had a friend last year that was going into evangalism and had to get rid of all of his household goods and had a garage sale in December, in northern michigan.
Praying for you.

This sounds so much like something I’d do, it cracked me up. I hope that shopper bought a lot of your junk. LOL
Knowing how cold it is –you must be hard up for some $$$$…..of course, I might be known to do the same thing….I DO hope it is profitable! =)
Good luck with your yard sale!
One good thing….anything you make you can use when you go Christmas shopping. :) Hey, I am trying for you!!
Get thee inside…thou shall not have a yard sale on the coldest day of the year. I bet you didn’t know that was in the Bible.
Love you,
Patty
so, how did that garage sale turn out!
I seen you setting up, looks like you had some really good stuff! I hope you didn’t freeze. Hope you did well. I should have brought some of my junk and set up with ya! Could use a little extra money for Christmas since my daughter is wanting a TV. A big TV! Have a good weekend! Love Ya!
I’m heating up the hot water and will have some warm chocolate to sip when you come in!
You are a hoot!
I just read your post on your restored relationship with your preacher husband. I was blown away. I recently went through something very similar to that. My husband and I married almost 6 years ago at 18 and 22 — a year ago we filed for divorce and 2 months ago (3 days before the papers were to be final) — we called it off, or decided to put it back on… whatever you want to call it. The past two months have been hard, to say the least… but I know that we made the right decision. I know that unquestionably. Thank you for sharing your story. God meant for me to read it. So from a preacher’s daughter to a preacher’s wife, thank you.
I am not fond of the coldness, not at all! I haven’t even cut my perennials yet!
I now remember why I wanted to move South– DEEP SOUTH!! :)
Brrr, I hate being cold, too! Hope the sale went well despite the cold!
So, how was the sale???? There is not enough coffee in the free world at times for me to endure the cold. I hope that your sale was a success.

Interestingly enough, this is the third time today this verse has shown up. I used it in a post this morning, our pastor quoted it at the funeral of a friend this afternoon and now I read it here. Hmmm…seems like I need to sit up and take notice! Hope your sale went well.
Oh – that made me laugh!! I am NOT a snowbaby either!
