Freeze Frame
May is not the ideal month to be without a camera. My good one broke some time back and my backup has officially bit the dust. I’m not ready to invest a huge amount of cash into a new one because there is this little thing called vacation I’d like to be able to enjoy with my family next month.
Here’s my question: Do any of you have a $100-ish digital camera that you are particularly fond of? What brand and model is it? Obviously, I’m not expecting professional quality, but there’s got to be a standout in this price range. I just don’t have the time or energy for research so who better to ask than you girls?!
I’d love to hang around but gotta run to the school for a luau.
Here’s hoping my camera isn’t the only one broken. Me in a grass skirt is not an image that needs capturing.

Cannon Powershot SD1100! You can even get it in Pink! or blue or brown or silver
Love my Kodak EasyShare M853….8.2mega pixels. Compact and takes really good pics considering the $ and size.

For $100ish, the Samsung SL30 is a great camera (10 megapixels) and it also comes in pink if you want. =) I also have a Canon Powershot A480 and it’s a good camera but I think my Samsung out classes it.
Sorry, I just not good with Cameras. Good luck finding one. You might try a pawn shop they usually get items like that. My father-n-law got a great deal on a used( like brand new) lap top.
Mine is a little more than what you want to invest in. I am actually saving my pennies and dimes and quarters to invest in a nice camera! By the time my youngest graduates from High School–5 more years–I should have the right amount saved up!!

I love my Canon Powershot! I have the SD950 IS one. Great pictures and it takes awesome videos too. You can get some awesome deals at Abes of Maine on line. It is where we order most of our electronic-type items.

You can’t go wrong with a Canon Powershot…..I keep one in my purse at all times! lol…I know you’re shocked! Also, check Amazon.com. You can almost never beat their prices!

I hear a lot about that Canon Powershot…but haven’t tried it.
I do however love my daughter’s new camera…..bought at Sam’s club for around $134.

I have a Samsung BL103. It’s 10.2 megapixels and takes video. I absolutely love the pictures it takes and it is sssoooo simple to use. I am techno-challenge and it only took me 5 minutes to get it working. By the way, you may be horrified by a picture of you in a grass skirt, but imagine how much fun it will be to see in 30 years!!!
I just got one I love at WalMart; they said it was a GREAT deal for such a good camera. I think it was $150, and it takes GREAT pics, and came with charger, case, memory card, lotsa megapixelwhatevers.
