Like We Did in the Good ‘Ole Days
Way back in the good ‘ole days of 2007 I had just started my blog and the “thing” at the time was blog parties. There was a party or a meme on every site and those are how I met so many of the girls who I am still connected with today. And then life got in the way and I didn’t come out to play much any more. Too much work and too little fun makes Lisa a bad blogger. I’m smack in the middle of a bout of nostalgia for the simpler bloggy times so I was so tickled to see my sweet friend Jenilee hosting a Just Because party at her fabulous blog Our Goodwin Journey.
Here’s what she has to say about it:
Well, I’ve noticed that a lot of the weekly blog link ups I participate in mainly have the same people linked up week after week. I’ve also noticed that many of you don’t participate in link ups at all.
Maybe they are too specific or you don’t have time to write a new post…
I thought maybe a one time blog party would be a good idea.
A place where you can link up just because…
not because you are a homeschoolernot because you are crafty
not because you have some awesome recipe
not because you just wrote the most incredible post
not because you wore a super cute outfit
but just because…
you are you!
The Just Because blog party will allow us to meet new bloggers outside our normal blogging sphere and give us an opportunity to share our blog/pages with people who might not normally happen to pass by our online spaces.

Now I’m all in for easy and Jenilee’s party is just that. I’m really interested in seeing some new blogs and especially some Pinterest pages. I haven’t gotten in to that yet because it’s a little confusing for me so I would love to see what people who know what they are doing are coming up with.

Hi Lisa…I enjoyed the blog parties I used to link up to too…but haven’t done one in awhile. This will be fun hopping around and meeting new people. Jenilee is such a sweetie isn’t she? She and Jeremy have such fun together with their girls!
